Long Time No See: The Truth
It’s been a little while, however I’m still hanging on. I better say something about Iowa before I write any further: Romney spent the most, Iowans love spending, Iowans love their influence. You can draw the links. I suppose I’ll never be able to run for office now. Ha!
I’ve been talking to McCain’s camp. They are some wonderful people. Sometimes I hit the blogosphere to clear up rumors. I’ve been strongly disappointed with the RightRoots lately. One of the guys I look up to greatly, Patrick Ruffini, pointed out that the McCain camp was going through staff readjustments to reallocate needed resources.
What Patrick missed is that Ferry, McCain’s site visionary, came back! Most staffers have signed on as volunteers. Isn’t this actually a good thing? These people believe in this man. Are the RightRoots so out-of-touch with the McCain camp that they fail to realize the huge staff successes that have been made? I think not. I believe it is a chosen effort to keep the most prepared candidate out.
Another prominent RightRoots site went after McCain, PeachPundit (a contributor, it wasn’t Eric, however we all know what he thinks of Senate Republicans). They claimed McCain was polling at 1%. What poll are they citing? Not a Georgian poll (in which is the site’s target audience). Not a National poll. A poll from the University of Iowa. They kind of failed to mention that context in their post.
It’s time. Here’s a call to action for the truth. Forget if you enjoy McCain’s solid spending record, his lifetime of service to this great country, or his high approval rating with the people of which he represents – let’s campaign for the truth!
McCain was slaughtered by the media for a shake up. Let’s see: I think ol’ Fred just went through one and it’s even rumored that Hillary had to change up some structure too. Did the media go to the butcher shop for three weeks? Is transparency so bad? Is the man who is seeking to reduce the Federal Government employment by the most significant amount suggested than any other candidate so bad?
You can buy Iowa, but you cannot buy the truth!
My fear is that McCain’s latest border security bill will be shot down because of the RightRoots bounty on his head. It’s sad when we pander to fear and misleading statements above the truth and record.
McCain will limit government, respect civil liberties, create arguably the best Defense team in History, and do it all with knowing the inter-workings of Congress.
While it’s been a “long time no see” for Ali – it’s been even longer for the Truth.

well put, it is less about money and more about truth. Hopefully the American people can see that and act upon it.
Hi,
I linked over here from another McCain supporters website. I really like your site and am a fellow McCain supporter. I am from Boston but get up to NH to work for John as a volunteer whenever I can.
I have created a blogroll “Straight Talkin’ Bloggers for McCain”. If you would like to add the blogroll to your site, or just take a look at it please visit http://azamatterofact.com and click on the graphic or the link below it and get the info for adding the blogroll to the site.
Thanks,

McCain has to do more to assure me we will remove all illegal aliens by punishing employers for paying them. Also by stopping government pandering to illegals by hiring Spanish speakers to speak to non English speakers and having forms published and created in Spanish. It’s not my job to help these criminals nor should my tax money be used for it. Millions of tax dollars wasted!!!!!
When it comes to straight talk nd truth, McCain is right and too many Republicans are running their mouths on wishful thinking about immigration, etc. People need to quit kidding themselves. Considering that we can not find, round up, and arrest 150,000 sex offenders on, and in violaton of their, parole or probation, despite having a complete list and a lot of data, not to mention warrants, on all of these, the very idea of saying we’re going to round up and deport leven million largely unidentified illegal immigrants is utterly laughable. We don’t have enough military, much less federal and other law enforceemen, personne, or even enough transportation equppment, to do it, apart from the fact that it would bring large chuks of the American econo9my to a grinding halt, and cost a fortune we could not afford. rounding up the violators of other serious criminal laws among this group would be more than enough of a challenge. We knew this influx was starting at least 48 years, 12 Presidential campaigns, agowhen, in JFK’s campaign, his relative and advisor Ted Sorenson said it publicly, and it is just two generations too late to try to reverse that now.
I am also appalled when leading Republicans talk about having let Carter and Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton or Obama this year, be elected to make some point with those workers and milllions of Republican votes.
